Ciao Natalia, today Il Metropolitano.it is very glad to interview you
1. How did you start your modeling career?
It is a dream for most little girls to grow up and hit the runway or print magazine as a model. I guess I had this instilled in me as a little girl but with the hope to be part of Miss Universe. Be part of a global program that could enable me to travel for a cause, and be an ambassador of good will, combined with beauty for my Country, Slovakia. With this in mind I entered Miss Slovakia in 2002 and experienced the joys of being on stage, in public and on cover shoots. Unfortunately I didn’t win, but I won confidence and the entry into the new world of my modelling career began.
2. What kind of experience gave you the title of Miss Slovakia?
Miss Slovakia improved my social skills and boost my self-confidence enabling me to fulfil the dream of travelling.
3.Thanks to the nature of your job you have been all around the world. Which place you liked the most and why?
Sydney, Australia is a place thats spells freedom, art, fashion, music….beautiful sunsets and great summers. In particular I’m a fan of the hot summers at Bondi packed with a variety of diverse people and cultures. It’s the Yin & Yang lifestyles combined. There are creatives, fashionistas, surfers, back backer, bankers, families…oh did I mention surfers? 🙂
Bondi is not just full of the beautiful crowd and tanned perfect bodies, its also filled with healthy shops and cozy cafes and a great mix of retail temptation including the laid back weekend markets and local or world fashion designers boutiques – but super casual, that’s what I love about it…flat shoes and not too much make up. It’s like..’.you come to Bondi and you wash your face off’ 😉
4. Where are you living now and what you’re committed?
I have been in Asia now for 2 years, most of that time spent in Thailand. I’ve been committed to finding an element of spirituality in the Island of phuket, by being away from the condensed cities and hustle and bustle of traffic and pollution. It’s been a chance to embrace the Thai hospitality and embrace the culture of the Thai people….not forgetting the great food on offer. Papaya salad is always a favourite on the beach or at my favourite local restaurant.
5.How do you define yourself?
I generally don’t like to subject or limit myself to definition, as the past is our definition. I’m more focussed on present and future. However if there is a definition of freedom, it would be to have control of my reality, rather than have it imposed on me.
6.Tell us something about your virtues and vices?
My virtue is based on the triple C scenario…Content, Confident and Caring. On the other hand vices can be tricky…may need advice on this one. 🙂
7.What do you do in your spare time?
I tend to spare my time enjoying my surroundings. The beach being one of those. regular morning runs with the local dogs at time or the occasional Mu Thai boxing for fitness and strength. Watch out any one who crosses my path. 🙂
8.What are your dreams for the future?
I save my dreams for when I sleep, but my future is generally planned. I still have a little of the travel bug in me with places yet to be discovered. More of the America’s I suppose and something about the Middle East comes to mind.
