YOU ARE A MODEL, HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MODELING FOR?
SEI UNA MODELLA , DA QUANTO TEMPO FAI QUESTO LAVORO?
Eng – I’m not a professional model, just a celebrity model from time to time. There are quite a few celebrity models in Thailand.
Ita – Vorrei precisare che non sono una modella professionista anche se di tanto in tanto ho lavorato con colleghe famose di questo ambiente. In Thailandia ci sono poche celebrità in questo settore.
WHEN HAVE YOU STARTED THIS ACTIVITY ? AND WHY? DID YOU STUDY FOR YOUR JOB?
QUANDO HA COMINCIATO A FARE LA MODELLA ?E PERCHE’?HAI STUDIATO PER QUESTO LAVORO?
Eng – I did my first modeling assignment for a billboard advertisement for one of the slimming institute in Thailand about 6 years ago. The billboard was on the expressway – I was quite shocked when I first saw driving by in my car! It was never my intention to be a model. I had been working in the hotel industry for the previous 15 years. It started off unexpectedly when I won a contest called “Mrs. Bodyshape 2006” for a slimming institute in Thailand and won 1 Million Baht in cash.
I didn’t study to be a model; indeed, I graduated with a Master Degree in Mass Communications from the USA.
Ita – Il mio primo lavoro come modella risale a 6 anni fa, iniziò tutto inaspettatamente dopo che vinsi il concorso di “Mrs Bodyshape2006” indetto da un istituto dimagrante in Thailandia, che mi fruttò anche con 1 milione di Bath contanti. Ricordo che inizialmente rimasi sconcertata a vedere la mia gigantografia su un grande cartellone pubblicitario percorrendo l’autostrada .Poi a poco a poco ho fatto l’abitudine. Fino a quel momento avevo lavorato 15 anni nel settore alberghiero, lavoro per il quale avevo conseguito una laurea e un master in Comunicazioni negli Stati Uniti. Ecco perchè non ho frequentato nessuna scuola per modelle.
THIS JOB REQUIRES LONH HOURS. HOW CAN YOU COPE WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY?
QUESTO GENERE DI LAVORO RICHIEDE MOLTO TEMPO.COME CONCILI GLI IMPEGNI CON IL TEMPO DA DEDICARE AGLI AMICI ED ALLA FAMIGLIA?
Eng – Again, I didn’t spend that much time being a model, however I’ve dedicated majority of my time building up my new company. Even doing that, I still have enough time for my loved ones such, especially my family. As it says “The happiest moments of my life have been the few which I have passed at home in the bosom of my family.” ~Thomas Jefferson
Ita – Ripeto non ho trascorso molto tempo a fare la modella è stato un lavoro occasionale , quasi un piacevole passatempo redditizio. Ho sempre cercato di dedicarmi ai miei affari ed alla mia nuova impresa. Non ho mai trascurato i miei affetti e specialmente la mia famiglia che reputo una base solida nella mia vita. Trovo molto indicata la farse al riguardo di Thomas Jefferson “I momenti felici della mia vita sono stai quelli che ho trascorso con la mia famiglia.”

WHAT IS YOUR BEST PHOTO JOB? AND WHERE U DID IT?
QUAL’ E’ IL TUO SERVIZIO PIU’ BELLO? E DOVE LO HAI FATTO?
Eng – Well I do not actually have that many. I think probably the one taken by a friend, Vincent Sung; the theme was “Les Fleurs du Mal” (Flowers of Evil) and were being used in an Exhibition. It sounds like a scary title, but the results were really cool and feminine .
Ita – Attualmente sono molto impegnata e non ho dedicato molto tempo a questo genere di lavori. Tra quelli già fatti ,se devo scegliere ,prediligo i “Fiori del Male” , un’esposizione di un amico , Vincent Sung. Il titolo sembra tenebroso ma invece è un lavoro dove si esalta la bellezza e la femminilità .
WHAT LOCATION DO YOU PREFER? WHO IS UR FAVOURITE PHOTOGRAPHER ?
CHE LOCATION PREFERISCI PER LE TUE FOTO? E CHI E’ IL TUO FOTOGRAFO PREFERITO?
Eng – I prefer outdoor and nature for photographs. I don’t have a preferred photographer.
Ita – Non ho un fotografo preferito , ma riguardo alle location per le fotografie, non amo stare negli studi fotografici se posso scegliere prediligo stare all’aperto anche perchè mi sento molto a mio agio in mezzo alla natura
WHO IS UR FAVOURITE FASHION DESIGNER ?
CHI E’ IL TUO STILISTA PREFERITO?
Eng – I also don’t have a favorite fashion designer. I like to mix and match local brands with international brands. What I see that fits my character is what I prefer, can be any labels from any designers. I don’t follow too much of a fashion trend, however I choose what is best for my style that accentuates my character and myself as a person.
Ita – Non ho uno stilista preferito . Mi piace mischiare gli stili usare sia ii marchi locali sia quelli internazionale. Non sono ossessionata dalle tendenze della moda ,io scelgo i miei capi in base al mio gusto e non alla marca . Mi oriento su quello che mette in evidenza il mio modo di essere ,il mio stilo e che possa far trasparire anche il mio carattere.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO TELL US ABOUT YOUR HOBBIES? HOW DO YOU LIKE TO SPEND YOUR TIME OFF FROM WORK?
RACCONTACI QUALCOSA DEI TUOI HOBBIES? COME TRASCORRI IL TEMPO LIBERO?
Eng – My hobbies are water sports and many kinds of x-treme sports. I like water skiing and wakeboarding. I do a lot of exercise with weights and do yoga, short bike ride once awhile. Learning new sports e.g. rock climbing, surfing, sailing, boxing etc.
I like to spend my free time traveling in and outside of Thailand with people I love. Traveling has broaden my mind and vision. I always find it fascinating to constantly seeing new things and meeting new people.
Ita – Ho tanti hobbies , sono una donna a cui piace praticare molto lo sport e infatti quando posso mi diletto negli sport acquatici (sci d’acqua,nuoto) e negli esercizi a corpo libero in palestra (yoga -short bike ) e negli sport estremi, arrampicata libera ed anche un po di box. Trascoro il mio tempo libero con le persone che amo e adoro viaggiare .Sono costantemente alla ricerca di persone e cose nuove da vedere e conoscere.
WE KNOW YOU ARE WORKING IN PUBLIC RELATIONS. IS THIS KIND OF CAREER HARD FOR A WOMAN? DOES IT HELP TO BE BEAUTIFUL AND FASCINATING, OR IS IT A PROBLEM? NOWADAYS VISUAL COMUNICATION IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE BUSINESS. WHY? WHAT DO U THINK ABOUT?

Eng – My career is in Public Relations. I don’t think it is any harder than any other jobs. It depends on how you look at it; I do what I love, therefore it has never been hard for me because my passion is there. I always believe that women should possess the qualities of intelligence, independence, kindness, caring and beautiful at heart. If they possess all of these qualities and utilize them well, there should not have any problems.
Visual communication is very important in the business nowadays. It is described as a form of conveyance from ideas to visual. Since, it is purely rely on vision, the images need to convey the messages correctly and directly. Should be something that is easy to understand from a visual perspective.
Ita – Il mio lavoro e la mia carriera verso la quale, al momento, sono molto concentrata è essere una brava P.R. Organizzare gli eventi pubblicizzarli nella maniera migliore attirare sempre nuove persone e tutto quanto concerne questa professione. Le mie passioni o la mia fisicità non mi hanno mai ostacolato in questo lavoro anzi l’amore con cui faccio quello che mi piace è l’arma in più. Credo che tutte le donne intelligenti possa svolgere questa attività usando le loro qualità al meglio.
La comunicazione visiva ha un ruolo molto importante nella comunicazione al giorno d’oggi. Esprime con un messaggio diretto gli ideali e le idee di chi la propone. Le immagini danno messaggi concreti e diretti a chi le osserva e fanno osservare il tutto da un’altra prospettiva.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE NEXT FUTURE?
CHE PROGRAMMI HAI PER IL FUTURO?
Eng – My future plan is to concentrate on my work, however I will still keep some free time for my travelling – life is too short. I just don’t want to waste any of it, but spend it with quality and happiness.
Trying to look at life with a positive attitude. Regardless of one’s appearance, social status, education, money, past etc., “Attitude” to me is the most important value in life. The remarkable thing is we have choice everyday regarding the attitude we can embrace that day. We can’t change our past or the inevitable, but we are in charge of our Attitudes, thus it’s how I create my own future and destiny.
Ita – Al momento il mio lavoro è il primo obiettivo ma senza fare incidere tutto ciò negativamente sulla qualità della mia vita alla quale tengo particolarmente. Intendo continuare a viaggiare e affrontare positivamente la vita. Non possiamo cambiare il nostro passato ma possiamo incidere sul nostro modo di essere. Io voglio creare il mio futuro ed il mio destino.
